Too much Fruit and Veg?

It is great to have your own fruit and veg in summer; but what can you do with the surplus crops?
  • Potatoes and other root vegetables store well in sacks or in the ground. 
  • Carrots and Beetroot can be stacked in peat.
  • Onions and Garlic can be strung up in a cool airy place.
  • Beans can be dried.
Making pickles and jams is also a good idea (and good fun) but have you thought of Drying your surplus? With our DEHYDRATOR you could have your own dried tomatoes or dried fruit. Perfect for salads or muesli -
